A short notice

Hmm, today was another day. Which is why it still isn't yesterday. The same pattern as the last week unfolded, with me staying up late and getting up sometime in the afternoon. I am sure Dracula himself would be proud. But as soon as I got up today, my roomie reminds me that we have an exam tommorow about which I was, as usual, blissfully unaware. This sucks, was my first thought. ANd then self-preservation kicks into high gear, and off I go to the zombified cuckoo birds people refer to as toppers. No offence to them, but never being one has turned me into a bad case of sour grapes.

Anyway, since I'll be having double exams from tomorrow, upto the 1st of Jan(believe it or not), I guess this fertile field of my literary pursuit shall lie fallow for a while. But fear not, I just might forget all about this blog, and you might actually have a good chance of never being subjected to my writing again. The silver lining shows itself in mysterious ways.

Continuing with my previous train of thought, I landed up at Tabish's place to call upon the august offices of the best financially minded lads in my batch, Charlie. Thats his nickname. We all have nicknames, since it was a pain to twist your tongue every which way to appease the linguistic aesthetic appeal of all our friends who popped into this mini-Auschwitz that people call my college. Anyway, this guy has an absolutely fantastic brain for numbers, which I personally am no good with.

Thats it guys. There is no punchline. This is an account of my day, not standup comedy!

For about three hours, he threw formulae and statistics at me in the vain hope I might pull off a miracle and actually understand what he was trying to say. No such hopes will be entertained in the future. Had dinner there, and on the way back, I saw an effigy on a bench, with a glass of questionable contents in one hand and an old Bagpiper Whiskey bottle in the other, perched alongside assorted debris. Will post the pictcure on my Orkut page soon.

And with that, we come the end of yet another exciting" Abrupt Endings". Good day, and a good night.
